Fishing on the lake

On the Sunday after the Kräftskiva, me, Chris, dad and Phil went down to a lake to go fishing on the boat.
After using the engine for about 5 minutes, we ran into a rock, and it ended with Phil and Chris having to row.
It is a beautiful place.
We enjoyed the sun, caught a few little perch and had a lovely time.

The sun started to set and it was getting darker and cooler...
At around 20.00 we went back to shore and pulled the boat up.
And finally a little pic of me!
 
Today is Chris' birthday and hopefully I will be making him happy throughout the whole day :)

Kräftskiva (crayfish festival)

On Saturday August 3rd we went down to dad's and Milo's for Kräftskiva.
 
Before crayfish, dad and Milo had decided to give us a try of the infamous surströmming.  For more info click >>here<<.
Not many faces looked convinced when dad opened the stinky tin...
Chris wasn't overly excited about the taste either (neither was I...yuck!)
 
But Milo ate it quite happily, her son Tobias didn't mind it. James was brave and actually had a couple of mouthfuls before giving up and putting the fork down...
 
After a while the proper delicious stuff came out.
And that was all for that Kräftskiva :)

A summer goes by too fast

Right when you start to get the proper summer feeling
it is already gone.
July was warm, hot and dry and yet I only went to the beach a few times,
and swam only twice!
 
Time was short for a lot of things I wanted to do,
my list of things is always longer than summer allows.
But not to be sad, I have had an absolutely wonderful summer,
with the best end to it ever possible!
 
On the last day of July we came with James and Helene down to the beach and watched them cool down in the water.
 
After James' and Helene's swim, we went for a game of minigolf. At the end of the evening the sky was wonderful, and we went back down to the beach for some photos.
 
I promise I will post more pictures of our last week of summer tomorrow!
